My friend and I had the day off, so we decided to head up to the roof of AZ. Although the day wasn't as productive as we'd hoped (it was in the low 90's), we managed to scare up a couple things.
Tadpole Meadow

This little meadow was full of tadpoles and nothing else. Not sure what kind, but they were fun to watch.
Terrestrial Garter - a lifer!


This little guy was vicious!
Chipmunks everywhere!

Blue Heron


We followed a pair of these guys around for a while and actually got to see them eat some crayfish! Wish they would eat more, though. The lake and creek were FULL of them.
