Albino color information

brak Aug 20, 2003 02:53 PM

Hello, my albino has a big white ring going around the back of his head, is that trait indicative of a certain strain or breeder's line?

I have noticed a pretty big variation in colors of fully grown albinos. And I am not talking about the tangs or patternless, etc. I mean just normal yellow banded albinos. The variation seems to be occuring on the non-yellow parts. On some of them the pinkish skin color the juveniles have between the yellow stripes lightens to a nice white color and in others it seems to turn into a kind of brownish-redish-beige skin color. How can I tell which way my albino will go?

for an example of the variation I am talking about go to this page and compare Libby and Luther:
http://www.goldengategeckos.com/breeders.html
They are both very similar in that they are both yellow banded, but they look very different from each other. Any nsight as to why they are so different and what I can expect of mine:

there is no way to know how an albino will develope. there is no more variation in albinos then any other morph, it just seems like it due to the color scheme.
as for the white head band, almost all leos have it.

your head will collapse, but there's nothing in it, and you'll ask yourself, "where is my mind"
