..Surinams were in short supply. I was looking for a larger female but the tail on this one caught my eye so I bought it.

Beautiful animal. I'm curious about these; is it true they are more "nippy" than regular Colombian boas?

LOL....the babies can be....LOL

Rob Tudehope discribed it best...he said "You walk in the snake room and it sounds like a choir"....I completely agree. As new borns they are some hissy, nippy little things. Most of them calm down pretty quickly but those first few weeks are a doozie.

Well worth the little extra effort getting started though

..I was in a real hurry to get back to my table and did not know the vendor. Looking at the diagram of tables I think it might have been Reptile Basics or right next to them. There were 7 or 8 Suris all the same size so I am pretty sure they were from the same litter. The one I got had slightly better color than the rest of them.

Thanks for the reply, Jeff and good luck with the boa. It will go nicely with the others that you have. If I remember correctly, you posted a couple of beautiful Surinames on a porch railing a long while back. I remember because they were top notch. Take care.------RON
