?Question Ball?

Has anyone else ever heard of the Ocelot Ball? At the Daytona Show last weekend a guy was selling what he claimed to have proven out and called an Ocelot Ball. He ended up selling his big Male for $2k (I'm assuming this because this is what the price was labeled for).

I ended up picking this guy (I named him Ozzy) in the picture below later in the show from a guy that was selling him just as an odd ball. Ozzy's markings are remarkably similar to the supposed Ocelot Ball in my opinion. He has blurry spots in his spots that seem very unique and interesting.

It sucks because I never took a card or remember the name of the guy that was selling the Ocelot Ball. I would love his opinion on my snake in comparison to his; he would know better than anyone. Does anyone that went to Daytona remember seeing the Ocelot Ball and know the owner of its name? Or if anyone is familiar with the Ocelot Ball can give me opinon on my snake?

Actually, opinions on Ozzy from anyone would be cool. Let me know what you think of him! Thanks, in advance, guys.

I have more pics if needed.

Rule number one in animals-YOU CAN ONLY BELIEVE THE ANIMALS! Why would someone sell a proven new morph for 2k if they just proved it out? It's a lie, and it's a labby. Non-genetic.

Thanks for the tip, I thought labby as well, but I had to ask, because he seemed reputable (the Ocelot guy, I mean). I'll remember that in the future; thanks for your time.

P.S. "Why would someone sell a proven new morph for 2k if they just proved it out?"... Why would someone buy it?? My guys was only fifty bucks.

oh, dude im not saying it isn't worth anything, i mean they're not exactly "common" but the genetics on them hasnt been proven. Even the lame people selling "tiger balls" (reduced patterns) at least have pictures to prove it, or more than one snake to prove it. My belief is this. If it's a female and it is not genetic, you will still see results. The female has more influence on pattern, and you are more likely to get a snake that resembles the parents based on influence alone. The best pastels will have a super dam and a pastel sire. Even though the female can only ensure that all will be pastel, her good looks, and the good looks of the father will still have influence. That's how to tell who is reputable. There are the people that just breed for money, and people who breed for quality, making sure their morphs look better than others. When you breed out dominant genes to normal animals over generations the animals will digress.

Like the guy trying to sell an adult Ball as a calico, when in fact it was just massive burn scars all over its body that had turned white.. You could easily tell the snake was scarred because the scalation wasn't even close to normal and had a wrinkly, singed look. The white was also outlined in black, so definitely scarring.

I feel sorry for the poor soul who bought that snake thinking it was indeed a calico.

There have been a couple of burnt ringers offered up as calicos...One of which was a fairly well known seller too.(Either he knew or he didn't.Either way,his reputation took a dive right there!)

I believe Dark Forest Reptiles had that animal-it was not in a burn incident. It was a wild caught female with blackened sides outlined in white. It wouldnt make sense that she was only burned on the patterned parts of her. That is what wild caught calicos look like. Allen Bosch has this animal now. She also has eaten for me every time I fed her while I worked for DFR.
