I've been looking into alternatives to paper towels. Paper towels work ok, but in 32q tubs the snakes easily bunch them up in the corner and then they're not substrate anymore...

I know about unprinted newspaper stuff from packing companies but I couldn't avoid the temptation last night when I was at the hardware store. They sell 3 foot rolls of masking paper. It's in the painting section. It's used to cover floor areas when you're painting a wall for instance. There are a variety of differen't thickness' and widths, I went with the largest one hoping it will be the most absorbent. I took it home and sawed it in half so I have two rolls each roughly 18", conveniently just a little wider than the 32q tubs. I tried it in just one snakes tub, just in case it doesn't work out well.

I'll try to post some pictures tonight. My only concern is if there are any unusual dies or anything on the paper thta could be absorbed by the snake. I doubt they would die paper that is meant to be ruined though.

Anyone have any experience with this stuff?
