Triple Hets are hatching!!!

RG Aug 23, 2007 08:18 PM

Well it took 78 days but these guys are awesome. Out of 8 eggs laid, it looks like I'll have 7 healthy neonates. The first two out are just HUGE!

The last one hasn't poked out of the egg and I'm hoping it's an Anery het Hybino. The pairing was a male Ghost to my Tri-color Amel het Anery. Statistically I should have 50% of the clutch Anerys het Hybino, and 50% triple hets...but oh well...triple hets are great!

Check out the head coloration on these guys...so cool.

Here are some pics...enjoy!

I thought this year was going to be a dud...but it's turning out to be more than I ever expected.

I have a clutch cooking from a female Anery to a Hypo poss Het Anery that's due to hatch in late October.

I have a female Tri-color Hypo Het Amel (poss het Anery) due to lay any day. I paired her with a Van. Tri-color Hypo Het Amel (pair shown below) and backed up the male with a Ghost. If I get Amels..they'll be Hybinos...if I get Ghosts they'll be 50% het Amel and I will have proven out the Anery possibility.

I may even have a few more females gravid...it's hard to tell right now...but they stopped eating so I'm hopeful.

So far these hondos are selling like hot cakes...but if I have anything at the end of the year...you know I'll be in touch!
