Water dishes...

platinumtlc Aug 24, 2007 02:17 AM

Anyone have any recommendations for water dishes or what I can use in replace of a water dish? I'm asking because my collared constantly gets sand into it and it ends up being a mix of sand and water, and its a big mess. I was a product in the pet store that was this rock structure that had a little hole for water to come out into this small (too small) basin. The water would come from a bottle hidden inside the structure so the water only came out when the basin started to empty. The basin was too small I thought and was wondering if there were any alternatives? I don't want to reduce her water space to less than an inch but at the same time I don't want to have to clean up her mess all the time.

SAND SOUP, lmao how would you like to clean about 20 tanks of sand soup, hehehehe I don't really know what to tell you as they need their water and seem to enjoy walking through it at times. You can get a dripper and let it drip on to a rock and have her lick that (when you are there) but then you not sure if shes getting enough. And they do not like deeper bowls, not safe anyway.

As far as the product you were speaking of, you would have to make sure she found the (very small basin) and that the tube or bottle that is hidden is always cleaned as not to create any kind of bacterial problems from it sitting in there to long. You could try it and see .???

Or put up with the ever so famous SAND SOUP, ahhahahaa
