New pics fresh off of the camera....

rainbowsrus Aug 24, 2007 04:56 PM

Fresh sheds etc, will post them in replies over the next few minutes.....

BTW, do not be surprised in the future when any of my earlier posts with pics don't show them. I'm planning on rearranging my photobucket account to have subfolders and when I move the pics to their new subfolder the older posts will have the wrong address. Maybe once I'm done I'll have a pic fest posting with all the "new" addresses on all the old pics. Need to do this so I can find pics, getting a bit out of hand with all in one folder and I just keep on adding more and more.

Stay tuned, pics coming....

Taken today......

She's showing the affects of finally eating well. I think I'll give her a fast week to let her catch up to her new found appetite.

Actually was trying to get pics of both Chester and Cyrus but Chester had his panties in a bunch and was in a pissy mood.

So, Cyrus was behaving and was the only one of the pair to get some decent pics......

jungles the more I want one so THANKS for rubbing it in Dave. On the boa forum either yesterday or the day before someone posted a possible jungle and maybe Ruben posted a comment saying he saw it in the eyes. I know if the tongue is not all black and contains some pink then that is a tell tale sign so what do you think about the eyes? Maybe silver on top and bottom or lighter on top and bottom. I just checked the post and it was Eddie and here is the pic

so what do you think about the eyes?

Things I believe to be true about jungles.

There are "low expression" jungles.

Low expression jungles tend to throw more low expression babies.

Low expression jungle can throw screamer babies.

Screamer jungles tend to throw screamer babies.

I really like the ones that have all connected saddles looking like chain-links, those are my favs Dave. How much brighter are the colors on your jungles compared to your abby line which is no slouch either but is there a real noticeable difference in the jungle enhancing gene for color
Bob

rainbowsrus Aug 24, 2007 11:36 PM

Well, the jungles are in the Q-room with the mite outbreak, I couldn't take thm out. BTW, no mites seen for well over a week - WOOHOO!!!! So, can't put them side by side for real comparison BUT, the jungles are in a different league than the abby line when it comes to colors. Don't get me wrong, the abby line is great, but my Mark Hauge jungles are WOW when it comes to colors. I even emailed with Tracy barker since they produced the parents of my jungles and it's clear to them this is a very clean extreme sub-line of the jungles. Maybe less diluted from the original swedish line? Or just have been bred to the right unrelated animals? Whatever, they are stunning and Mark sold them for less than I've seen ho-hum jungles. When I saw the ad, pics and price, was on the horn right away.

Woody and Bo Peep are F2's and when I breed them together, I'll be producing F3's. I expect that'll be 2010 or 2011 at the soonest. Probably be making some jungle x ?? in 2008 or 2009 with the male.

I see some pink starting to crawl up the sides on her and it will be very interesting to see how she develops. I have a couple bci's coming in over the next couple of weeks so I will be sure to post a couple of amateur pics of bad quality as usual for you

rainbowsrus Aug 24, 2007 05:08 PM

How do y'all like the pics split up by individual? Of course you can comment as a reply to those you really like or as a general reply. Or no reply if you prefer. Just thought I'd try something different.

thread again.

After getting my dumb a$$ corrected on the proper names of the components, my electrical problems are with the sub-panel. Actually a not so difficult repair for anyone who knows electricity and is handy. I'll be replacing my 100A sub-panel with a much larger 200A version. Will still be running only 100A service from my main-panel. The larger sub-panel will allow me to have many more breaker spots so those doubled up breakers (two little ones in a single housing) will no longer be necessary to get enough individual circuits.

The 100A service from my main panel has always been enough for everything in the house, never tripped that breaker so never have gone over the 100A limit.

terminology-I thought you were perfect yada yada yada- I bet you worked in a pet store before IBMlol too friggin' funny at least on my end haha lol That is a pretty easy fix Dave and hope you don't have to open up the sheetrock too much but then again you can prolly fix that too so best of luck to you. When you buy your breakers buy the ones that when tripped show a bright orange for ease of identification rather than looking at all black breakers and finding the tripped although it also easily found but it just makes things easier.
Bob

rainbowsrus Aug 24, 2007 05:55 PM

LOL, me perfect...far from it.

Yeah, I thought so too re easy fix. Not something MOST folks should tackle but I've done wiring before, built a shop at my old house and did all the work myself. So I know how to do it even though I used the wrong terminology.

Already opened up the sheet rock and discovered I have to keep the bottom of the new sub-panel at the same height as the old one due to wiring entering from the sides. The top is clear though so no big deal. Hardest part I expect will be fishing wires through the top as I raise the new sub-panel into place. Stoping a quarter inch early to tighten the strain reliefs before raising it to final location. That way I won't have to fix the sheet rock above the sub-panel. Already had an access hole piece of sheetrock below the sub-panel from adding in some garage circuits. I think while I'm at it, I should fish another wire for a new garage circuit to the room I plan on closing off for a second snake room.

Dave I don't care but sometimes when you post it can be overwhelming for individuals that don't know your "exquisite" collection but usually I need to pull up your post on one page and my reply on another cuz there is simply too many pics to remember to comment on so I like this style post. It doesn't start a new thread so it counts for us and the ease of remember one or two (although only one this time) individuals in one post not 7 or 8 lol. So I am all for this style

I like the way you did this. It's easier to tell the snakes apart and it just seems better organized. By the way they are all great looking snakes and I think they deserved their own sections
