Breeding blacknecks

Shaky Aug 20, 2003 04:31 PM

Wondering how Eastern Blacknecks breed-In a mating ball or 1:1?
Is there anything more to it than the general colubrid methods?

I can't say it with 100% certainty, but I would assume that they mate like the majoity of garters 1 on 1. The only thamnophis that I ever heard of forming those mating balls, are the Canadian parietalis.

I'm fairly new to garters, and of course, the breeding balls are a sensation, but I assumed these were not of that ilk.
Thanks for the info.
