That is very common in black rats. Due to all the intergrades, some different colors show up in the snakes. I usually see at least a little bit of orange, red, or yellow in almost all the black rats I come across. It's nothing to worry about.
That's especially common on the Texas rats (which yours looks like), as they have a wide range of shading in the background color. My Texas rat has some orange as well, and I see it on perhaps a third or more of the rat snakes encountered here in Oklahoma.
