Need Jungle Boa Breeders opinions...

hiss_n_herps Aug 24, 2007 10:36 PM

I have a chance to pick this guy up real cheap. I already have a Striped Albino male and 5 females that are Het Stripe and Albino. So, other than just to have a back up breeder for striped, I don't exactly need him. I don't know anything about his lineage. I'm just not sure what to make of him. I'm looking and seeing the striped tail and square saddles and I'm leaning towards just some ordinary version of Striped Boa Morph. Yet something about his saddles and positioning of the tail stripe says that maybe he is very low quality jungle morph. His belly is very light with tiny freckling all over.

I'm not a Jungle Boa expert. I need some of the Jungle Boa breeders to chime in and give me an honest opinion. I'm guessing he is probably not even a low quality jungle at best. Anyway, lets have some good and I repeat GOOD, constructive, comments.

Thanks

Chris

This guy is not your typical looking light colored jungle like the beutiful boas posted below by Dave.
It is however a jungle. I got it from Pete kahl so i trust his word when he says it is a jungle.
I think this will make some really awsome babies.

Thanks
Mike

Hi Chris,

Not to be a downer, but I don't see any markers that I would say jungle. Even if it were from a known jungle breeding, I would guess it to be a non-jungle sibling. Something else to keep in mind is that unless it is from a known stripe-line breeding, the striping may also not be genetic, but a random aberrancy. None of this is meant to belittle that fact that you got a good deal on a nice looking animal that should bring you lots of joy regardless of the genetics!

Best of luck with him!

Mark
