idothatforme Aug 24, 2007 10:57 PM

Whats the average size of a year old retic? Mine is just shy of 9 feet. shes now eating small rabbits, and tame as a giant cornsnake!

It all completely depends on how much you feed them. My yearling het albino is only about 7 feet, because I still only feed her 2 medium rats a week. She's perfectly healthy and has good weight on her for her size. But I'm in no hurry. I always raise my retics slowly. She's got the rest of her life to be a monster. If you're asking if 9 feet is "alright" for a yearling...definitely.

well i have a yearling male that is 9 so i say its normal and i am not power feeding

that's normal. Other factors include more than just feeding. I bought a couple Babies middle of april from PP. Both were 34 inches. The Male normal Albino is about 6 feet on 1-2 rats a week while the female tiger het is only about 5 1/2 feet even though she's on the same feeding schedule! I think they'll both be 8-9 feet by their birthdays.
