How old are they? My crested wasn't anywhere near as interested in fruit/babyfood/CGD as she was in crickets when she was little. Eventually she warmed up to the fruit baby food (apricot & banana flavors were ones she liked a lot). After she started eating that well, we transitioned her over to the T-Rex Crested Gecko Diet by mixing it into her baby food, gradually making it more and more CGD and less and less baby food. Now, as an adult, she eats mainly CGD with about every third meal or so being crickets so she gets some protein and variety.

Frequency of feedings may have something to do with it as well; if you're giving them crickets daily, they're probably just not hungry enough to go after the fruit baby food/CGD. Have you tried alternating feedings?

Finally, I wouldn't bother with whole fruit - baby food is just easier - my preference is to give them the organic stuff so you're not feeding them any preservatives, etc, but obviously that's up to you.

I have a female that didn't want to be bothered eating the MRP also.

I began dusting the crickets with the MRP, as well as leaving the powdered MRP in the cricket keeper for them to eat. (The crickets eat it like crazy- they get FAT).

After about 2 weeks of feeding her the crickets like that she will now eat the MRP. Granted she doesn't come out pouncing for the MRP like she does for the crickets, but by the following morning the MRP is gone.

Good luck!

lol that wasn't a long post. how can you be sure they aren't eating it? if you put a shallow layer of the CGD in a dish you should be able to notice bits missing but they really don't eat a whole lot, and if they're small geckos, you may not be able to see any missing at all. only feed the crickets to them once a week, and don't give them anything else other than the CGD about every other day. if you're feeding CGD, definitely don't get them started on baby food, you will have more problems switching them over than just starting them on the CGD to begin with. i have never had any problems with any of my geckos or hatchlings eating the CGD.
