Normally the "next step" is about what level of success you have had with a species. Not moving on to another species.

One problem in the states is, many well supported novices move on to rare odatria, and they have no experience. With the rare species, there are so few, that its manditory that whomever gets them has the ability, not potential, actual ability to keep them in exsistance.

They must have to ability to reproduce them or they will be contributing to them disappearing.

As this time, none of the odatria, are being produced in any numbers. And that includes ackies.

So before you move on, make sure, your lessons are learned. Cheers

ive had very large success with my ackies, i got them when they were 2 months old about a year ago, maybe a little longer, and ive noticed breeding for quite a few weeks now, and im just waiting for her to lay the eggs. all i was wondering is if i had to coose between other dwarf species, which one is thew best bet. i did post the title a little questionable, its not a step to me, i enjoy keeping and breeding all my animals. what i mean by it is i want to get into the dwarf monitors, i love them. i find them the most interesting monitors, but the only ones that are redily avalible are the ackies and the timors, and where are you if you feel the ackies arent common? i know about 7 people that breed them, and have had success, so thats at least 14 ackies within 10 miles of my house.
