Introducing a new res?

gr8flcindy Aug 20, 2003 05:14 PM

I was planning on getting a new RES friend for my 3yof res "Taylor". We were looking at either getting 2 smaller RES's or one that is almost the same size yet slighty bigger. Any ideas what Taylor might like better or how to introduce them all. Thanks for the advice

Your turtle doesn`t need a friend (they can do quite nicely by themselves), but if you must get one, it should be similar in size to yours and you should quarantine the new one for at least 90 days to make sure it doesn`t have anything contagious. If you don`t have a large tank, your should upgrade as well to minimize potential aggression problems.
