Pretty copperhead, but I hope that isn't a gloved hand under the chin of that copperhead... They can and will bite through leather gloves of that style.

Very Aware of the habits of my native species
Not that I condone this from the inexperienced,I work well with in my experience levels.
There is a hook handle inside the finger of that glove.:-

West Texas,we find well over 100 every year around this immediate area.There are several diversified dens in the area that would baffle the wisest Biologist
