so where do morphs come from? do breeders go to the native habitat of the snake they are breeding and just look for weird ones? Or are they just lucky genes that pop up?

You are right both ways.
A healthy albino BRB would command a huge price, and could come as a wild caught animal or by luck of breeding two animals with recessive genetics for albino. The issue with the wild caught is that is will take years to figue out if the odd looking animal can pass the genetics to offspring (recessive genes will take at least 2 generations to prove it out or it will involve inbreeding).
An examle of luck: Mike Lockwood (Flavor on KS) bought a pair of BRB's and breed them together and produced hypomelanistic offspring.
Mike's hypos command a decent price, but they are proven genetically. A willd caught animal that looks like a hypo will cost a lot less because it is not known if its looks come from a genetic trait.
