Texas ratsnake question

I have a texas rat thais about 42 inches long and is no to big for mice i have tried switching to small rats but he won't take them any suggestions on how to get him to switch

Try getting some dirty mouse litter then put the rat in there to let him get the mouse scent. Its kinda like scenting pinkies with lizards
