One of my friends is going on about how because cornsnakes and ball pythons have similar requirements hes going to house them in the same viv. i think this is a very bad idea as won't they fight and stuff. Please help as i want to stop him.

They have extremely different requirements. They also will probably make each other sick. However, they probably wouldn't fight. They'd just die.
ummm, NOT a good idea! I have a Corn and a Ball as well but I'd never consider keeping them together because they're both totally different smakes with different houseing requirements!

Ball pythons like it hotter and more humid than corn snakes. The average corn snake is more active than the average ball python, and would likely stress out the bp. Plus, a ball python has a lot more mass than a corn snake of similar length.

As with any two snakes, one could eat the other, and having another strange species around all the time can stress a snake. Plus, what's the point? You can keep most snakes in plastic containers from wal-mart that run you under $5. Why not just get two cages?
