Feeding suggestions

phillymach1 Aug 26, 2007 05:03 PM

Hey
I have a 3 month old Panther that I have had for 3 days now. I am worried about him not eating. I have put crickets in a cup in his cage so it would be easy to catch and he has not bothered to eat any. The cup is white not clear, could the color be bothering him. Does anyone have any suggestions on getting him to eat. The temps are fine, I set up his cage the way that I have read on all the care sheets. Thanks

I have one cham that wont eat out of a white cup. His food (when not free roaming) is therefore in a black ceramic bowl hung under a favoured perch. But it's usually not the colour of the bowl that causes them not to eat. More likely some husbandry issue, like stress (are you watching him - he might not like that) or temperature.
