does anybody work with these or have any pics? If they are out there is it a proven trait or just an abberancie?

this one came from w/c normal parents. unfortunately it died and i sold the parents&sibs

They are underrated animals, even the South Fla.(occipitolineata)
which has only been described to science by (Price: 1987) still is hard to get people to catch on!......a while back, I was one of the very few to have any in the country!.....they aren't all that colorful and vivid, but they are VERY rare, and even just a couple of years ago, very little was known at all about them.
Did you see the fat little pair of "hypo" prairies at the expo!
they were definitely super pretty and unique looking, but they were going for some "large Coins", and I wasn't about to lay down huge bucks on them when I had alot of other animals that I had to have,......know what I mean???
best regards,
~Doug

Finding and photographing a wild occipitolineata is my new obsession. Struck out expo weekend, but this time of year
really isn't ideal. Hopefully next spring. I hope this doesn't
take as long as "goini" did. I missed the hypo calligaster, who had those?
Have been BLOWN AWAY at how pretty these little guys were!!!
If someone were to tell me I'd be blown away by some hypo prairies, I'd probably look at them and laugh!...no kidding, but they were just OUTSTANDING!!
I really do wish I took pictures of the pair to show you guys, but no such luck!
I don't know the guys name(or company name) but he was at the far end on ground floor right in the center.
For a calligaster to make ME raise my eyebrows,it really takes some doing!!!!!
On another note,.....the occipitolineata I used to have were 100% locality specific, and I knew the EXACT dirt road intersection that the gravid mother was caught from in DeSoto County,FL. just west of Lake Okeechobee in Arcadia. Her's a pic of the little girl when I first acquired her after hatching.
take care guys, ~Doug

Thanks for the info guys, Calligaster is actually what got me interested in kings and milks, they are still my favorite snakes i own so far, i also have a pair of baby mole kings that im raising as well. Hypos would really be cool, talk about the perfect calligaster. My mole kings are from a hypo line from Ted Thompson, teh female is nice and light with a lot of contrast.
