Doug, actually the wild caught "splendida" that started this line was collected in arizona close to the New Mexico border and has some cali influence. It was bred to a el paso so they are always looking more and more like a splendida but you can really see the cali in some of them.Still a cool snake and I would have tried getting a mate from the same spot and kept them locality specific but thats just me.

Shannon,....

Thanks for the input on the origin!, certainly does look ALL splendida to me,....but both of us know things look better and better as they get outcrossed, and get bred to best of the best down the line!!LOL......like you said(and I agree) it's still a sweet looking animal!.....thanks again!

Shannon according to Don Shores who I got them from a few years back, they are from New Mexico.

Don Shores has come on here twice that I am aware of and defended that origin.

Another friend had told me they came from Eastern Arizona but talking to guy that caught him told me it came from extreme western New Mexico near the Az border. Don

Those are fantastic kerby.

I love morphs, but there is something so special about selectively bred traits. Those animals represent so many generations of hard work by so many different dedicated breeders. They are really awesome.
