I have a pair of ball pythons and about 11 corns now and I can honestly say that I like corn snakes better simply b/c of the variation on color morphs. Some ball python morphs are way too expensive ($10,000.00) and therefore unattainable. Plus corn snakes are much more active and their size does not intimidate people who have never been exposed to reptiles before. When I show my ball pythons to people...no one ever wants to hold them. I never have that problem with corn snakes. just my 2 cents.
lol cool, i thouhgt so thouhg...man ball pythons look scary, their bodies are like so thick, they must weigh a ton oh yeah...but the corns u keep, wh7y do u not display it in tanks, why do u just like keep it in those rubbermaid boxes like pple have shown...shouldnt u keep snakes not for the sake of keeping it but keep a corn because u wanna look at it and stuff like that?
When keeping many corns, its easier to use rubbermaid containers for feeding, taking pics (glass tanks flash cameras=bad pic sometimes), and transporting them....but i use tanks for all my snakes. Some use rubbermaids for rack systems to house large numbers of snakes and hatchlings...its just more efficient to do it that way to house them individually.
:>

I have 7 balls and 20 corns . If you want a more active display snake the corn is best, they also eat beter usualy. But balls tend to be esier to keep clean(poop less).I love keeping both though and would sugest keeping the one that most apeals to you.
Ask the same question in the python forum. For the money and the eye candy i would go with the corns.Im still a big fan of ball pythons. And most ball pythons can live there life out happily in a 20 long also. Why not get both? There are some really nice looking ball pythons also.So many choices. It's the best part of the hobby....Paul.
