21Eastern Kings ..(NC locale)

BlueKing Aug 27, 2007 01:19 PM

Here's a pic of my latest addition: 21 Eastern Kingsnakes (Cumberland county, NC. locale). Hatching them was the easy part (100% - 21 out of 21); Getting them to eat pinkies is the hard(er) part. Unfortunately these will not pinkies as readily as my GA. Eastern babies. But after a few scentings/brainings 90% of them usually do, lol! Thanks for Luke-ing!

Awesome Zee! You sure put out some nice Eastern Kings!!! My GAs from you are doing great!! Derek

Thanks
Glad to hear that the little GA. beasts are doing well. They will only become more demanding as they get older. The only problem you may have is that they will become obese if you don't keep an eye out on how much they eat (When they get older, they (almost) NEVER say no to a meal).
But I love em' for their beauty and ease of care!!!

Alot of mouthes to feed still, but that aint right, wait till the trash guys come, you shouldnt use a clear can,I cant wait to see it on COPs or Reno911......... Chris

True... A lot of trash... Yes!
Those little (NC) guys are going to keep me quite busy (they always DO!!!) But a select few of them usually turn out to become the all out "Garbage-guts" (like my GA. kings) lol!

they are not trash please dont take me wrong ,i was just jokin about the container HaHaHa

BlueKing Aug 28, 2007 07:57 PM

The container??? HAHAHAHAHA!
I know it's an original. I wanted to be different!!!!
I like it cause its' small and too tall for baby snakes to get out off. Makes taking pics of them a little easier...
I know I know - I'm lazy BUT I DO have a crap load of baby snakes to tend to, LOL!

Awesome...... Major congrats. Those look awesome. Can you post pics of the parents?

Thanks,
Dan

Thanks.
I can post a pic of the mother, but not the father. I don't have the father anymore. He was similar to the mother but had better looking bands (pic coming soon). My brother-in-law has the mother so I will go to his house and take a pic of her if you like.

Very nice!! I know what you mean about the feeding. I'm still working on my SC Easterns. Got a couple more to feed the other day with anole scenting, with still a few more to go. My North Florida Easterns, on the other hand, almost all went straight to f/t pinks. I love Easterns, but dread the feeding of new babies.

Yes, that IS the only drawback (getting babies to feed). But I can also say: Real men/women (who like a challenge) breed Easterns!!! Floridas are for rookies!!! Ok - just kidding, but they (Easterns) are harder to get started.
