How many silkworms...

LarrysMom Aug 20, 2003 06:39 PM

How many silkworms should I let our 2 1/2 month old eat?? It is instead of crickets. And how big can they be, is it like crickets, no bigger than the space between the eyes??
Thanks

as many as they will eat in 10 minuites, its the same deal as the crickets, the silkies however can be a tad larger then the space between the eyes, meduim worms would be fine

As reiko said, just let your dragon eat as much as they like in 10 minutes. As a guideline, half the amount of crickets per meal your dragon usually ate for the number of silkworms. As the silkworms get older and bigger, they are much more filling. My 7 month old dragon eats about 3 per meal of the 1-2 inch worms. They get so fat and juicy!
