This girl was produced by Australian Addiction Reptiles. I'm thinking Ben is going to be sad that he decided to sell her. But his loss my gain. She is definitely a crowd pleaser. When I get her out people (not even snake people) are simply amazed at her colors. Just wanted to share her with you all...

She is looking good! That is for sure!!! And I do miss having her around. Is she going to be large enough to breed this year? We are hoping that we will get our first clutch of eggs from her clutchmate Opal this year...fingers crossed. Good to see you posting Meg, keep it up!

just ask justin i have told him before lol jk he is a 00 i balieve bob futo animal thats about the best background your gonna get on him lol he came from bob as a tiny one and been with me ever since only other info is he is the best snake ever never once offered to bite (feeding time is always super caution lol) he is a lil vocal when being held but thats just huff n puff he needs a nice jungle girlfriend this year his coastal girl did the job but and there were 2 nice hold backs really light and bold but nothing as what a nice jungle girl paird with him would do.

TimS Aug 28, 2007 01:58 PM

he is HUGE lol about 6 1/2 when streched out roughly and about 7 lbs or so he is my big boy and he isnt fat its all hard muscle lol

5 times out of 15 snakes? Now that's what I call tame! Same temperment on the coastal? I've got about 4 out of 10 that I'd consider tame on that level. BTW, still got that Bredl's Jag? She taming down any?

Check out this potential '08 pairing. 50% Jungle Jag male to a pure striped Jungle female. I know I'll be crossing my fingers for that one!

good luck on that one hopefully you get some lookers out of there im sure you will every1 hatches out the cool stuf but me i just get dang near perfect hatch rates with no problems to parents and no deforms with babies lol so far i am 45 out of 46 babies hatched this year with 7 out of 7 ball python eggs hatching as we speak. so if they all make it out ok i will be 52 out of 53 for a final count for the year not bad at all lol no defoms odd eggs eggbound parents nothin tho i did have a female rainbow boa who faked me out i thoguht she was prego but not does that count as a loss in numbers lol

captnemo Aug 30, 2007 03:20 AM

Those hatch rates are great! BTW, selective breeding for desired dispositioned (effectively removing something that took nature so long to perfect in order to creat a more desirable pet snake) is a feat in and of itself, IMO.

you know there newborn babies so i expect some nips etc but i would much wrather prefer breeding only tame animals that were tame form young on alot of ppl are looking for just plain ol pet snakes that they can hold etc there is always the bad apple but for the most part i think breeding tame to tame helps alot may not reverse the thousands of years of wild animal no but every little bit helps. just like when im looking at that new pretty snake i want every penny counts lol

I do love the banding on him, but I always tell you that... LOL

What are your opinions on the weights and sizes for breeding female Jungles? I just don't want to push her. Am I silly to want to wait until she is mostly full grown?
