Just a few images of this regal zonata.

Yeah that's some candy for sure... That's a truly brilliant animal!!! Seriously putting mine to shame! Thanks for illicitng the jealousy -- LOL!
I know that many strive to breed for as little black crossovers as possible, whether it be zonatas or pyros or triangulums. But in my opinion I think they're all amazing, and even the darkest animals have something that can be found interesting or appealing (just like people...) amidst some aesthetic imperfection that many of we herpetoculturists take for granted given the ability to manipulate all prior schools of thought ranging from Darwin to Mendelian principles, et al. My personal collection of agalma (which is continually growing) range from average red with black crossovers, to locality intergrades (Juarez x Martir) that some specimens present as hypo-erythristic (still to be determined...), to more flawless specimens of single locality. Why not post a pic of yours? There's no such thing as an ugly zonata in my book.

I completely agree with the notion of indivdual aesthetic appeal, in particular regard, to the agalma. I have but 1.2 with a sweet pair of hatchlings to arrive this week thanks to Mike Russo... I was merely joking as my grouping is at it's inception and yours seems something to strive for... I will, however, snap shots off tomorrow and get them posted. Followed by the hatchlings when they land on my doorstep... More tomorrow!
Chris
I think Jerry has a rough idea of what your new Agalma look like... If you remember in my ad i stated that they were produced by a friend of mine... Well that friend is Jerry!
Jerry already has some killer Agalma and is building himself a nice collony of outsatnding specimins.. i am really looking forward to see what he produces in the future.
Also, while your taking pix of your Agalma.. Can you post up a pic of the alterna you got from me last year?? I would love to see how it turned out!
~ Mike Russo

Hey Mike,
Yeah actually I seem to have found out that Jerry Kruse produced them! Sure thing, I actually wanted to get pics posted of some other alterna as well...
Thanks for the kind words -- when one is truly passionate about something, one goes to all ends to make it happen and doing so meaningfully. Just as you've got this INCREDIBLE colony of alterna morphs and locales, I will also be doing something similarly with zonata and with particular attention towards the agalma category. I'll buzz you later on Mike, and thanks again. I'm sure Chris will rock with these little guys.

used the term "hypoerythristic", as that is exactly what that is.
I didn't want to comment on that and have people making a "pissing-match" about it........some people unknowingly call that trait anerythrism, when it is not LACKING red pigment, it is just greatly reduced, making it exactly that,..a hypoerythristic animal.
best regards, ~Doug

Wow that picture turned out awesome. Who did you get those from. LOL?
Juarez Wonders
You know who has the best Juarez stuff out there. John Brekken -- JUST KIDDING! Only teasing there big guy, LOL. They are doing fine -- female is a bit stubborn as I'd mentioned and the male is hopefully going to take a second scelop-scented pinky tonight for me. The female took a mouse tail gently forced last night, but not writhe around and spit it out like some babies will. I'm thinking if by November she does not feed voluntarily, I'll cool her down for a few weeeks and go from there. She's robust, regal, and couldn't ask for more. Thanks Allan!!! (Her pic is below followed by the male, aptly named Guadalupe and Jose. I've never named snakes before but I love 'em so much I felt compelled, LOL).
