I am starting to write the plans for an enclosure for my Gaboon Viper. Oak frame, tiled interior, going for a "ruined temple" feeling. I am going to add carvings to the tile, hang vines, leaves on the floor, you get the idea. I will post pics when finished, but it will be a few months.

I like the ruined temple look. Bighurt sent me a link once to another forum where somebody basically made a wall to mimic some temple ruin. It was very cool.

Keep us posted.

Chris is right I found a really good example on one of the frog forums (other site) of the ruined Inca temple look. It was fairly simple and basically consisted of Acrylic sheets cut and glued in place like stone than covered in a concrete like mix. Most likely a fortified acrylic polymer blend with some sort of tile grout base.

Anyways I have the pics on my home PC I can email to you if you would like. I don't believe I have the origional link anylonger and it wasn't very informitive but the pics are pretty awesome.

I myself am using the theme in my new Boa cages but will be using extruded polysterene and some sort of mix. Havn't got it narrowed down to the type yet. Most likely for ease I will stick to tilegrout and acrylic paints. Than clear coat the entire project when complete.

Just keep in mind the ease of cleaning and the proper display of the animal (and finding).

Good Luck
