LEOPARD TIGER RETIC

PrehistoricPets Aug 28, 2007 01:14 PM

That is not the real name for it, but it was something VERY cool looking that hatched out of a clutch from an Albino Tiger female to a Suntiger het Albino. I can't really tell if it's a Super Tiger or a Tiger and I can't tell whether or not it has any Sunfire because the pattern is so strange. I am positive that it is het Albino, though. Anyway, I thought I would share. Out of the egg and into the photo booth, that's how we like it! See it up close at the Anaheim show next month! Your thoughts would be appreciated.

How about
Shattered Tiger Retic ??????????????

The pattern is all broken up but the kid has the large ovals on it's side like the classic tigers do!

Regardless that is another gorgeous Retic you guys produced.
Congratulations!!!!!

Looks, brains, and venom . . . . how do I stay single?

That's is an odd but interesting looking super. I say super because of the dots on the nose, mostly striping down the back and the look of the side pattern. Lift the tail and if you see a straight clean line from the vent to the tail tip that would confirm my thoughts. Either way it is pretty neat.

I definitely like the name "Shattered Tiger." I'll have to mention that to Jay and see what he thinks.

In response to Jim, I checked the tail and there is a line, but because the pattern is so broken it's hard to tell if that's the same line or not.

I do appreciate the feedback and input!

Super leopard..jim just described it..and het albino to boot..sweet!

That's wild. Any others in the clutch share the same characteristics?

PrehistoricPets Aug 28, 2007 10:26 PM

There were quite a few unique ones, but nothing like the one pictured. If you are into the classic look, we produced some pretty extreme looking classics. And some of the Super Tigers have great striping. There are still a couple yet to come out of the egg. Thanks for looking!

het for albino tiger...

time will tells on the coloration...looks like it may be a het albino sunfire supertiger with an additional aberrant pattern...A close examination of the rest of the clutch may reveal the actual phenotype/genotype...the lack of head stripe verifies it's at the very least a tiger...IMO this snake would not be as pretty if it where an albino...VERY IMPRESSIVE...Please take update photos...I will assume you guys are keeping it...has a lot of future potential when bred into other anomalies...too kewl!!!!

That's the way that we see it. She is het Albino and she would be worth keeping for us because of how aberrant the pattern is. I agree with you about how it will look as an Albino. I don't think that the black is pronounced enough to make it look really cool as an Albino, but we'll see if the pattern passes on to future animals.
