bath time

grouchyrocker87 Aug 20, 2003 07:49 PM

I just gave all 25(unfortunately number 26 never made it out of the egg in time and the egg started smelling rank today) of the babies a soak today. It was so cute! They all got confused and dunked their heads under the water for a drink, then proceeded to find a way out of their tubs. But I noticed one of them that acted a bit strangely after being in the bath. I supervised them very closely so I don't think he/she started to drown plus the water was maybe a 1/4 inch deep. when i put them all on the towel for drying off that one just sat there with its eyes closed. I picked it up cause it looked dead but its eyes opened. It was breathing a little deeper and slightly more rapidly than its bros and sisters so that worried me. It also didn't want to grip onto my finger like they usually do when you pick them up. After observing it for about 10 minutes in my hand it started moving a bit. I know this seems like something not to worry about but they are like children to me and I would be really upset if any of them passed away. I think its doing ok now but it was just really weird. The only possible thing I can think of is that it got a little smushed in the process of moving them in and out of the water. If anyone has experienced this or knows what might be going on I would appreciate it!

he may have just been a bit nervous, next time bathe this one on his own or with a couple other siblings and see what he does, one of my little ones first time in the bath sat there with his eyes closed too, think because he got water on his head and on his eyes. hope that helps a bit, im sure he is fine, just keep a close eye on him during bathtime make sure hes not getting too worried.
