What do you put on Information Cards

domingoakasunday Aug 29, 2007 08:28 AM

I work as a computer programmer and have recently been playing with the a newer version of vb and decided to create a program to keep track of all my pet's information that I am currently putting on notecards. Currently I have weight(grams), length(feet and inches), feeding action(ate/refused), food item(rat/mouse), food type(live/frozen thawed), food size(length), food weight(grams), Breeding action(bred/no interest), bred with(Other snake bred with), shed(blue eyed/good shed/bad shed), sickness, a comment field for other comments. I also have tables that will display all the information for each sub group (such as all dates of shed actions with what happened/ all feeding info with dates).

Can anyone think of any other info I might want to keep? This is mostly just for fun and to practice vb 2005... but if it comes out well and anyone would like to try it out, I might give it out.

I use a software program called Degei. You may want to check out some things that they have done that you want to incorporate. There was another program I had looked at before that had a Punnet Sqaure section where you could enter the different morph combinations you wanted to breed together and it would automatically calculate the results. Much simpler than doing it by hand, especially for the double or triple combinations.
