just a couple new pics

wvaherp Aug 29, 2007 10:19 AM

haven't seen many folks showing off their CRB's lately. figured i'd post a couple new pics of mine.

first the female. she is almost a year old now and about 32" long. she's also the sweetest little girl around. hasn't struck since the day i got her, not even head shy at all.

and this is my male, currently in blue. he is the brother of my female, and he's about 30" long. althoughy he's a little more flighty than her, he's still very tame

So, basically I;m getting my chops busted for being nice.

Seems like a no win situation, all I can do is make the fewest people mad.....BRB's RULE!!!!

On a serious note, I noticed both CRB's were still showing their markings, and are yearlings. At what point do they lose all the markings and turn mostly brown?

i personaly like all rainbows i almost gave in one day at the pet store that had a baby CRB for dirt cheap and the guy goes yeah its a angry snake blah blah he puts on these huge gloves moves the hide and i start laughing i go move ill grab it a tiny baby and was tame as a kitten i was like those huge gloves for this and laughed in his face again lol (it was a new guy there) but i decided against getting it i think one day ill give and get all the diff rainbows but perus first lol then into the others

wvaherp Aug 29, 2007 02:15 PM

thanks for the compliment dave. it seems like i'm coming from the dark side having CRB's and all. i like them quite well, very very very calm and inquisitive snakes. as far as the patterns go i believe it's around 18mo or so that they really start to fade, although i have seen snakes the same age as mine with almost no pattern and completely blacked out eyes (mine are still a silvery copper shade.) i think genetics plays a big role in when they start to fade. on that note i've been meaning to ask bryan if mine came from the same bloodline as his stripes. they have a few markings that sort of fade together into small stripes. but as far as BRB's go, i really do want to get one, but my girlfriend has decided that if i want another one i have to get rid of one of my other snakes. anybody wanna buy a yearling male CRB?? LOL,

ChAsE

Yeah, definitely coming from the "dark side", but better from the dark side than no side at all?

Hmmmm, I'm full up so to get a CRB, I'd have to get rid of one of my BRB's......let me think.......NOT!!!!

Rocky's faring well. Finally started taking thawed out rats. Mostly just chilling. I'm at school now, so I won't get any pics of him soon!

Very pretty CRBs... do they normally keep a bit of their pattern at that age?
