Finally- a Super Mojave!

CrestedGecko.com Aug 29, 2007 11:20 AM

Well, this project has been a long time coming. I thought we had a shot to produce a super mojave 2 years ago. Our female didn't produce. Same thing last year. This is one HUGE mojave female. Well, this year she finally laid 9 eggs. Unfortunately, 4 of the 9 went bad. 2 of those contained supers. The final 5 eggs hatched last week. We produced 1.1 normal, 1.1 mojave, and 0.1 super. I was hoping for a male, but I'll take what I can get.

I don't get a chance to post things here very often- the snakes and geckos take up too much of my time. I'm lucky if I get much time to even see what other breeder's are posting. I just want to say congratulations to all of the breeders out there that had such outstanding seasons, especially the ones that brought us new morphs. There are so many morphs out there now that my head spins just trying to keep up with them. I hope everyone has a great remainder of the hatching season. Keep up the good work!

That is awesome!
I just slit my last clutch of mojave x mojave eggs and there is a SUPER in there, I can't wait for it to come out. This was my last chance, as I sold all my breeders this year and all I have left pretty much are eggs.
Too bad I have to sell all my snakes, gonna suck to sell my first white snake.
At least I hatched one though.

JET Pythons

(CJBianco explaining the origins of the BP market.)
"In the beginning Bob created the Ball Python market. And the market was without morph, and wild traits were upon the industry. And Bob said, Let there be morph, and there was morph. And Bob saw the morph, that it was good; and Bob divided the morph from the wild trait. And Bob called the morph Albino, and the wild trait Normal. And the Albino and the Heterozygous Albino were the first investment.
