I'm thinking of getting Exo Terra Terrariums for my corns.
Wondering if anyone here uses them and has any comments or suggestions about them.
Thanks!

If so why? Expensive for the size. Very tall. And I would think harder to clean? I like them, for something that might use that type of space. If I'm wrong on the type of cage.

Hi Big Tom!
Yes, I was thinking of the square ones. They have screen tops and more importantly, they have doors that swing open from the front which makes them easier for cleaning as I plan to place them in wooden cabinets (similar to bookshelves.).
That's the main reason I'm interested in them.
I just think pricey for the size. BUT, if you like the look and thats much of a factor I understand. I see they have some new ones I have not seen.

That's about 24" long x 18". I know I'm biased as I can get 20 longs cheap. Or even a 50 breeder. The exos do look very nice. But I'm interested in hearing other views on cleaning.

Zoo Med is producing the same type of Terrarium. I am currently using them for hatchlings and yearling corn snakes for resale. They are very atractive and seem to be quite easy to clean and maintain. Pricing my be a little higher than the equal 10 or 20L terrium tanks but stores should be able to price them fairly compidatively priced to the slide tops. They may be just trying to make extra profit on it being a new to the market item.

I have one - I can guarantee a baby corn can get out through the doors.
They are OK tanks for some lizards. They aren't really well suited for snakes IMHO.

11.14 L. getula californiae (Cal. King)
2.3 L. getula nigrita (MBK)
1.0 L. getula floridana (Brooksi)
1.1 Pantherophis guttatus guttatus (Corn)
0.1 Pituophis catenifer catenifer (Pacific gopher)
0.1 Heterodon nasicus nasicus (W Hognose)
4.2.14 Elgaria multicarinata multicarinata - (Cal. Alligator Lizard)
i also have two of these kind of tanks. I would say they are definatly beautiful display tanks. Not really too good if you need a heat lamp though. also very tall. Suits an amazon tree boa or something arboreal just fine though

2.2 Columbian common boas (Zeus, Athena, Aphodite, Hades)
1.1 Corn snakes (Appolo, Boreas)
0.1 King snake tri striped cal morph (Helios)
Well, I am using one for hatchlings since I got it for free. I love working at a pet store! My honest advice? For $150 I would prefer something a corn won't outgrow. I built my 4x2x2 tank for $130 and I doubt Hope will ever outgrow it. They are great tanks for crested geckos but other than that you are paying $75 more for something you will get 1/3 the life out of. I got the 12x12x12 and the only thing I currently use it for is housing a trio of hatchlings.
