Clutch of Florida Kings...

Here is my first clutch of Florida kings. Some have orange spots, others don't. Can anyone tell me what this is? Thanks!

That's VERY typical of "floridana", "brooksi", and "goini" as well, to exhibit vivid red coloration as hatchlings.
However, they will lose the red coloration as they age.

Ok...I have a ball python and she's doing great. but, I'm thingking about a kingsnake and got a couple question. Ok, what size should i buy one at? Can a california kingsnake stay in a 20-gallon terrarium all of it's life? r they hard to keep? basiclly, what are the basic steps to keeping on...

The red/orange color on those is typical of a lot Florida king hatchlings. While it looks cool on hatchlings, it will often fade to a brownish coloration once they reach adulthood.

Do you have any pictures of the parents?
