I've never hunted that area but here's a quote from a FHF member you might find interesting.
((I have found several black and white kings to the east of Lancaster but still in Los Angeles county. And I have found one very close to black and white in soledad canyon, although it was a little yellow.))
I'm thinking they're probably a very dark chocolate brown with yellowish cream rings. Kind of like Whitewater kings with a little more yellow. Just a guess though.
Are you out in that area? If so, do you get to herp it alot? Jasonmc and I (God willing) are gonna be out in that area tomorrow night so hopefully we'll have some pics to bring back. You should really get a hold of metalpest who posts on these forums. He puts some pics of the Kings he found up on FHF.
