I've had some of my male Panthers going as long as 9 months before really lighting up the color charts. Could it be possible that you have a female?

I think it's more of a gradual change in color shades and intensity over time. Color is affected by hormones which affect the whole body, not just one part at a time. What happens when you show him a mirror image of himself? Sometimes a male who doesn't have reasons to assert himself doesn't show adult color until he's older. If he's a mellow cham he may have the ability to flare into adult display at this age, but there hasn't been a big reason to do so. I sometimes think the ability to flare into a major adult display needs "practice". See what happens when he sees his reflection. I mean a short event...not leaving his image visible all the time.

That was suggested to me when I got my Cadbery, Seems he really displayed an all over Orange color when Tyler had him near other chameleons, but when I got him (being a very mellow guy) he was alwasy multi colored and beatiful but would never get completely FIRED- UP.

Tyler told me to use the mirror, Cad looked at it and of course was looking at the image(himself) but just moved away, and that was it. I think the most fired up I have seen him is when he met his girlfriend Coconut, who sadly passed a way a few months back

Cadberrys Not fired up in these 2 shots but gorgoeus color

Well, if he's not "ready", he's not ready. Wait a while and try again.
