Finally got some new photos loaded...

hyporainbowboas Aug 30, 2007 03:54 PM

I am taking a break from a week worth of feeding and cleaning. I up-loaded some photos that I printed and passed out in Daytona last year. The photos are all at least a year old. One of my next projects (Between snakes and looking for another consulting contract) is to take more recent photos to show these animals today so people can see how the young animals develop into their full adult beauty. I want to show some of the adult hypos as they are much more impressive as five foot adults than as little babies. I also want to show the differences between adult hets and their hypo siblings.
I have a LONG “To-Do” list and a limited amount of time, so we will see how long it takes to get photos taken. I also really need to update my website but that is another project all together. Right now caring for my animals and getting babies to their new homes takes priority over showing them off.
Please let me know what you think. I am also trying to figure out to automatically mark the photos (watermark??) so they are not used in other places without recognition.

My TF animals were produced by Tim Frazier in 2003 and 2004. They are Quite Nice and I really wish I had picked up more of them when i had the chance. As for the more colorful hypos....behold the power of outcrossing to nice animals!

I think we are just beginning to see what the hypo gene can produce when crossed into more colorful bloodlines.

Love the pics as I've been to your site many times but I always wondered if this hypo was 100% brazilian but it's absolutely crazy anyways

I dont know because i do not know what bright red female they used to make the hets from at EBV in 2001. Mike L. may know more about this. I just bred two of my reddest hets together and this was the result.

I did cross the same reddish het male that fathered this hypo to a HUGE red Lamar animal with 41 to 47 scales mid body. I do not really distinguish between captive Peruvian and Captive Brazilians because there is bound to be crosses breeding in captive collections (integrades). Even in Peru, there are what we would consider Brazilians and Bill Lamar told me that the prettiest bright red rainbowboas that he has ever seen come from Colombia.

I just mainly look at looks and I like the looks of this girl (and her siblings)... Hope that was helpful, BHH

pretty I'll tell you that. Sorry for asking that but it just seems that some peruvians have a richer red than some brazilians that's all so that's why I asked but I love the looks of her too, best of luck with the hypos

Bob,
...That PIC of Bryan's snake is perhaps my favorite BRB PIC of all time. I see nothing that makes me think it is not 100% Brazilian. Like Bryan said there is the chance with any BRB that it may have some gaigei influence.
