This is my 8 year captive female suriname. She is a real beaut. This picture is doesn't show the head color too well, but her head is quite pink as well. I had to to look for a couple months before finding a suri I was happy with.

Awesome!
How big is she?
Aaron
She is just over 5 feet! Not the heaviest of eaters but she is still a joy to work with. She is kind of an odd one. I have had her three years and she has never struck at a prey item. The frozen thawed rat MUST be left in the cage for about two hours in pure darkness. She has never bitten me,but she attacked my male salmon last breeding season(no actual injury though)
That's cool!
Are you going to try her again with another male?
Right now all I have going is this suriname, the pastel and an ihle male salmon.I will probably try to breed the female jim peters pastel to my salmon first. I'll likely have more luck with her,so if that happens I'm going to try him on the suri later in the season again. I am really interested in outcrossing hypos.
One week roaming free in the rainforest, the next stuck in a tupperware... kinda sad IMO. She is pretty though.
Wonder if that is a Pokigron surinam. Pink and not so big. Typical poki. KILLER surinams
