Short answer...Yes, There are nicaraguan boas. Some people call them dwarfs because they do not get as large as some b.c ssp.

Here is a hypo:

There are also moltey nics, ghost, nics, type 1 nics, labyrinth, inca, hypo motley, T albinos, striped, reverse striped....I'm not sure what else

I've never really heard of someone being scammed in regards to a 'Dwarf'..

To answer your question, in general, most Central American BCI are considered Dwarfs because they do not reach the lengths or girth of Colombians or True Redtails, BCC.

I would say most would top out looking something like a 2-3 year old Colombian Boa in length and girth.

My Adult Hypo Sonoran Desert, Mexican Boas range from 3'-4' long at most.

My adult Honduran Boas are not proven Firebellies, from Roatan Island, so they are likely mainland form, and are about 4'-5' in length, although some mainland animals can achieve lengths of 8'-10'.

My yearling proven line Tiger Honduran Female is barely 2' long.

My adult Nicaraguan Boas were 4'-5' for Females, 2.5'-3' for Males.

My adult Costa Rican Boas were 3'-4' long.

My adult Leopard Boas, Sonoran, Mexican Morph, are 4' on the nose.

My adult Central American Hypos, Gee line, were all 3'-4.5' long.

My adult Cancun Boas were 4'-5' long.

My adult Panamanian Boas were 4' for the male and 6' for a large Female.

My adult Hog Island Boas were always under 5.5'.

My 3 year old adult Corn Island Male still isn't 3' long.

Now, if you receive some animals from unknown breeders or unethical persons that may cross Central Americans with Colombians or other and Not be forthcoming about this, and offer them as pure dwarfs, then that would be "scam'ish".

There are more than enough reputable, established, knowledgable breeders of Central Americans here in the classifieds. Considering you do a bit of research, you should have no problem finding exceptional specimens.
