Some new hondo hets.

mingdurga Aug 31, 2007 07:58 AM

The female (shown with 7 eggs) is a 50% het hypo. The male is a 100% het albino, 66% het anery, and ph snow. All 7 hatched in perfect shape. Over 25 grams ea. and over 9 inches long. Heavy with yolk inside them.
Eggs laid 6/24; hatched out 8/ 29-30. What does this make the babies het for? I'd be guessing on my own.

Enjoy the pix. Too much movement to catch em' all.

this is what you have:

12.5% Wild (not het for anything)
12.5% Het. AMEL,
12.5% Het. Anery,
12.5% Het. HYPO,
12.5% Het. Anery, Het. AMEL,
12.5% Het. HYPO, Het. AMEL,
12.5% Het. HYPO, Het. Anery,
12.5% Het. HYPO, Het. Anery, Het. AMEL

worst case:

50% Wild (not het for anything)
50% Het. AMEL

Holy Smokes ! That's some list. Reads like a DNA chart.
If and when I sell any, I'll just leave the genetics list blank and mark them as just hets for whatever.

Thanks again.

The only thing you can say about the neonates is that they "might" be het for Amel...that's about it.

You need to test breed any possible hets to determine if they are indeed het or not. Therefore, you need a double het Snow female (or better yet a SNOW female) and a het Hypo male (or better yet a Hypo or even a Ghost male).

Good luck,
RG
