i posted something on this before.i have finally gotten him to eat f/t instead of live but now he is just too agressive.i had trouble changing his water bowl today, when i opened the lid he poked out of the hide box and got in striking position with his tongue flapping like crazy,he kept following my hand and i could tell by his body language he was in feeding mode.what can i do? im very new to snakes in general.i want to get him calm and tame but i really dont know how and im scared of a feeding bite heh

How old is the snake? What size feed are you feeding your snake? How often?

To me it sounds like he is hungry. If it is a baby I feed mine every 5 days. Make sure your temps are good. The bite its self honestly does not hurt. It can startle you but once you have been bitten you know better what to expect. Keep trying to handle him , He will calm down in time.

i feed my 22" adult mice every 5 days, and she exhibits the same behavior yours does. I put an end to that by removing her hide and tapping her softly for about 10 seconds all along her body. She became much calmer in about 4 days. The most important thing is to keep handling it and not let it think that by exhibiting such behavior you'll leave it alone. good luck

If it eats f/t. Keep feeding it f/t. Just up the amount.
