Baldy Super Hypo Carrot Tail - Hypo Tangerine Cross @ 5 days old

Rob Jenkins Aug 20, 2003 09:59 PM

These two look awesome to me, but I've never hatched these guys out before. They are 5 days old today and I just snapped this pic. The one on the bottom is really amazing; even with how leos gain/lose spots as they grow, I've never hatched out a gecko with no black on them. Anyone wanna guess what they'll look like as adults?

Hey,
hehe, you must be really excited. Even the one on the top looks like it might be hypo, they should both lose spots after every shed and the yellow bands will take over the lavendar. The carrotail should develop after a couple of weeks. I dunno about the bottom one being baldy, I guess the best estimate you can make is by looking at their parents. Congrats on your great looking hatchlings!!

Thanks. As you guessed, I'm super happy. Here are the parents; one Baldy Super Hypo CT from the Urban Gecko -

And the dad is a Hypo Tangerine who originated from Doug Barr; I bought him from Jacobi Herp -

My guess is they'll be awesome. I just hatched out a bizarre very little gecko yesterday with no black, it's white and brown, very strange, will be posting soon

I saw that picture you posted. I wish there were clearer pictures. I've seen some pretty colorless geckos, though, and some turn out to look pretty normal. Here's hoping yours doesn't and stays unique
