Super Calico...

Ghireptiles Aug 31, 2007 11:04 PM

Dear Abby,

Is there a super calico? Is there even any question as to if there is a super anymore? They have been around long enough haven't they? With all of them floating around surely someone has had eggs hatch from calico to calico haven't they? Have I missed pics of the super calico somehow? Maybe they were posted somewhere while I was taking cheap shots at Brain Barcode on this very forum? Help if you can...

Signed,

You didn't miss nuttin' dude, it didn't happen! Smile, we can keep speculating like idiots for another year; while the price slips and slides away...

It didn't happen as in there is no super, or it didn't happen as in no one had any successful calico x calico clutches?

No one was successful with a calico x calico clutch, for weird reasons too. I'm sure someone will hit on it this up coming season. Possibly me too! Haha.

No super?

Secrets..............?

I agree with you man. Everyone is really banking on a super and I really don't believe there will be one. What a snake with more white on it? I don't really see it happening...that's why I am leaning towards just making some sick combos this season instead of going for the "super" search. Haha.

This is the Pastel Sugar at one year of age. We struck out on the calico to calico breeding this season. We only had one clutch and only three eggs made it to hatch. Two normals and one calico. Next year we will have sugar females large enough to breed and hopefully this male here will be doing the breeding. So maybe we could even get pastel super sugars.

We have both the calico line and suagr line of this morph. We tend to like the sugars more as they seem to for the most part have black backs from our line of sugars. Even the normals produced from these are mostly black backs. There are some other things we like more about them as well. Any ways as for this post maybe there is a super maybe not but with results like this animal I am not too concerned about the life of this project. Wonder what the super pastel will look like? Yes there is life in the calico and sugar projects. So they are not worth just giving away.

Now that's nice...congrats on a stellar animal! It does make me wonder though why there hasn't been a super produced. I mean it has been a long time since these guys have been around...

But...with animals like that one...who needs a super!

That thing is sweet looking, imagine a pastel calico clown, or a calico genetic stripe, or even a pied calico.

This is one of my favorite morphs-the pastel one is fab! Re why there hasn't been a super-these have not been around that long and there have not been hardly any adult females to breed. I think this will change in the next two years to give it a fair shot.
