this is a Water Monitor baby from the island of Nias, off the west coast of Sumatra. really cool pattern and look. first pics here : )

nice looking salvator! i have only seen a Nias salvator in a museum collection. the salvators on the east coast of sumatra are darker and occellated.

i think this is a cool animal, but for all i know, it may not be representative of the Nias Island locality, as it is the only one i have seen : )
there is no price for it, i don't have any specific plans for this animal just yet, but i wasn't going to pass up keeping it for a while at least : )
