different types of feeders

darkstarluke Sep 01, 2007 05:59 PM

I have a 3 month old and was curious if it would be adventageous to feed a varity? For example, I read that in the wild it is belived that these guys will eat insects when young. A company sells grasshoppers in a can that I used to feed my dragons. Could I feed these or should I stick to mice? I would, of course, tear off the back legs of the hopper with the spikes on it.

Stick to mice. When you go switching food on them, it can sometimes be tough to get them switched back. They get plenty of nutrition from rodents and it's difficult enough to get hatchlings going without giving them a reason to stop feeding again. Don't consider a feeder established until they've had 10-20 meals. Good luck.
