Why not? they're the same mice.

As for selling single LIVE mice, there is no cheap easy way to ship them so it's not really done online.

FInd a local feeder breeder, go to a reptile show or a good quality pet store.

Unless you really want mice, rats make better pets. Calmer, smarter and LESS stinky.

hmm can two of them be held in a ten gallon size cage? (comfortably?)

and are there any dwarf or smaller species that i can buy online?

thanks

2 rats in a 10 gal comfortably? No.

Rats really don't do well in glass tanks, they have sensitive respiratory systems and the ammonia buildup in a tank is bad for them. They do much better in wire cages, 2 cubic feet per rat. a 10 gal tank is only about 1.4 cubic feet and the space is not utilized will with no shelves or levels.

well i guess rats are out of the question then...

are there any other options? maybe?

Agreed, I cycle breed my rats, and they spend about 1/2 their life in pairs in 10 gallon tanks, but it's two pregnant females, and they have stuff to do, like take care of their babies. Once the babies are fed off, the mommas get a week of rest, and get put back in the 55g tank with a male and a couple other potential mommas. If you put 2 rats in a 10g they need something to do, and there's really no room to do it, so as for pets, it's not a good idea. I just do it for a maternity ward, and the mommas work as a pair, so they can get a little time off.
If you don't mind using pelleted bedding then glass tanks aren't so bad for rats, but you have to keep the tanks clean, and forget keeping mice in glass tanks, they stink too bad even after a few days.
