THE BLACK PASTEL PIED IS HERE....

joshhutto Sep 02, 2007 10:46 AM

The black pastel pied hatched yesterday morning. It is an awesome animal that was produced by Chris and Sheila at Gulf Coast Reptiles. They are doing great things with the black pastel this year, the axanthics and now pied, what else are they gonna do this year with them. Now for them to raise this little gem up and produce some pied black balls.

P.S. I will post a pic tonight when I get home from work.

Do you work for Gulf Coast or something? I am glad they are doing great too, but I am not up on the roof yelling to the neighborhood.

joshhutto Sep 02, 2007 11:01 AM

actually they are great friends of ours and they don't like to get on here and brag for themselves like most other people so I was letting everyone know of another one of a kind animal they produced. I didn't think there would be anything wrong with that.

No problem at all.. I just was wondering, however, who am I anyway??

Seriously though, it sounds like you are a good friend that is nice. I just get agitated when people post here to get a wow-factor then sure as heck they have the same snake, that they loved so much and was the new corner-stone in their collection, up for sale the very next day in the classified section.

No problems, I didnt mean to be rude, I was just wondering what the deal was. Gulf Coast is a great outfit from everything I have read, they are lucky to have suh good friends...another sign of good honest people is the friends they keep and you guys seem like you are decent loyal friends of GCR...no offense inteneded.

no problem at all. I can almost guarentee that this won't be up in the classifieds tomorrow, lol. I'm just super excited about the hobby being that much closer to the black ball pied and who else doesn't like great things to happen to their friends.

Now you need to visit them again and get a pic. It must be a amazing snake to see. Is it high white or low.

joshhutto Sep 02, 2007 11:43 AM

it is unfortunately like 90% white. I have a pic at home but I checked my email before I came to work and didn't get permission to post before I left the house. It is definately a different and awesome looking pied but I would love to see one about 50% white. Like I said I will post pics as soon as I get home around midnight or so unless someone else who has gotten the pic wants to post it.

>>it is unfortunately like 90% white.

Funny how everyone likes a different look in pieds. For me, the more white the better (90% gets me drooling). I guess it is a good thing they are so variable. Can't wait to see the pics, I may have to stay up late even!

melindaste Sep 02, 2007 12:08 PM

I agree the 90% is cool. But with a cross like that I think it would be nice to see more of pattern.

Herpout Sep 02, 2007 12:18 PM

Thats great. Do they still have a shot at the "Silver Ball" this season??

Why get so Agitated?....Who cares if they put things up for sale? Many people post pics here to generate interest, for the sole purpose of posting it up for sale...That way when your in the classifieds, and come across a picture of something, and remember "oh yeah, I saw that posted on the forums"....its thier perogative what they do with thier animals, I just don't understand how someone could get pissed off about something like that...lol It would be no sweat of my...... Its thier business, I still give them props or praise if they post here...no big deal...

Congrats to Gulf Coast...I think its going to be pretty neat...and I agree, I think to fully appreciate the solid black and solid white, its goint to look better with a more 40%-60%....Can't wait to see pics..
