I too was in the dark about crypto and had acquired some infected snakes which caused havoc in the collection many years ago.
I found the folks at the Kansas State University to be very helpful with the articles and research they have posted online plus actually answered my emials and chatted on the phone.
The link below will take you to a zen level with crypto research and I would add that a minimum 24 hour soak in 10-20% bleach followed with a minimum 24 hour dry time will kill 98-99 of the oocysts sloughed by an infected snake. The use of sunlight or a heat lamp will accelerate the dessication (and death) of residual oocysyts following the bleach soak.

Please note that the bulk of the research is on C. Parvum but the in vitro eradication methods are applicable to any form.
