Product of SATAN (Super Ivory)

PrehistoricPets Sep 02, 2007 06:53 PM

This girl is one that SATAN of NERD produced. She is awesome and the yellow seems to get more and more vibrant with age. This one is about 6 ft long right now and looking great! Thanks for looking.

What exactly are the genetics behind the "super" Ivory. Is it an Ivory super tiger or something else. Regardless its a beautiful animal

The 'Ultra' Ivories come from Platinum x Ivory breeding. They initially got the name 'super Ivory' here around the shop just so we'd all know to which snakes someone was referring, but realized that "super" Ivory was just too confusing since Ivories are already the homozygous form of the Platinum.

SO! They've been dubbed 'Ultra' Ivories in the mean time - no fault of anyone else since it's been insane here & we haven't brought everyone up to speed. They do come from Platinum x Ivory, they stick out like sore thumbs from regular Ivories, and now we're REALLY amped up to see what Ivory x Ivory is going to make.

MANY thanks to our good friends at Prehistoric Pets for photographing this gem...if I could ever quit photographing ball pythons we could get somewhere on updates!

K~

Thanks Kara, They are definatly a snake to behold. cant wait to see one in person, or what happens when we get albino ivories

We're ALWAYS the last to know!! LOL! I think that the Ultra Ivory is a little less confusing, though. Either way, it's an awesome snake and my hats off to NERD for making it!!

I think, once a year you big guys need to get together, and pick one name for an morph so you dont confuse us little guys so much. For 6 months I thought Fire was another name for Sunfire and that the platinum was completly different from Fires. We need to work together people. Im starting to loose my mind with all these differnt names for morphs...although Im sure its nothing compared to Keven, you know you've run out of names when your new morph is called the soul sucker 2.0

We haven't even come close to running out of names. The Soul Sucker is one of our inside jokes here @ the shop, and the name stuck. You make it first, call it what you want!
